You can assign specific Alchemy product license types to security roles. By assigning specific Alchemy product license types to a security role, you control what Alchemy products and thus functionality is available to users assigned to that security role.

For instance, if you add a Search Client license type to a security role, then users assigned to that security role can only open and run Alchemy Search to view Alchemy databases and are limited to Alchemy Search functionality. If a Search Client license type is unavailable, users assigned to that security role cannot open or run Alchemy Search, or any other Alchemy client or extension.

Note: You must add specific license types to the License Control List for the security role in order to limit which Alchemy clients or extensions members of a security role can run.
