Did you know that multiline data can be entered into Alchemy profile fields? The key is to create a Document Profile Template or a Folder Profile Template that has a height to accomodate more than one line of data. The current version of Alchemy allows profile fields to contain up to 6,000 charaters of information per field.
Create a Document Profile Template
From an Alchemy Administrator client, select Design > Document Profile… from the menu bar. In the Profile Designer dialog, layout your fields for your desired Document Profile Template. Any field that requires multiline text can be resized by dragging the lower right-hand selector handle as indicated by Item 1 above.
Enable the Document Profile Template
While viewing a document in an Alchemy desktop client, perform the following steps:
1. Right-Click in the blank profile pane area.
2. From the context menu, select View > Template Fields.
Entering Multiline Profile Data
Enter line breaks into an Alchemy profile field by typing the keyboard combination <CTRL><ENTER>.
