There are times when you may want to know how many documents are stored within a given nested folder structure in Alchemy. This is possible with a little creative use of the powerful searching capabilities of Alchemy.
Locate the Folder You Wish to Count Documents Within
Located the folder you wish to obtain a document count for, Right-Click the folder (1) and select Search Here… (2) to open the Search dialog.
Perform A Wildcard Search on Document Title Only
Within the Alchemy Search dialog, perform a Document Profile search against Document Title with an asterisk * character as the search criteria (1) and click the Search button (2) to execute the search.
Search Results Provide a Document Count
The search results will display the total number of documents found within the folder you searched.
